A mastodon dinosaur (resembling a massive elephant with enormous tusks) was unearthed on the golf course grounds in December 1989. It is currently being studied in Japan. An exact replica of the mastodon is displayed along with other unearthed artifacts in the golf course's very interesting dinosaur museum. It's worth a visit.
